Women and child health & nutrition is the biggest concern in India. According to National Health Survey 2015-16, 30% of malnourished children in the world are in India. 58.4 % of children and 53.1% women of reproductive age in India are anaemic.
To contribute to improving health scenario of women and children we are running women and child health project. In this project, we have adopted a holistic approach and working to break the cycle of malnutrition. The main activities are community mobilization, health education to women and adolescent girls, providing support in availing government health and nutrition schemes etc.
Volunteers can work on this project. They can support project staff in organizing and planning community mobilization activities, interactive sessions on health and hygiene with women and adolescents girls, health camps, health and nutrition assessment of children. This project is the best opportunity for volunteers to contribute their skills and knowledge in improving lives of women and children.
